    Always a good call to have an NPC healbot along for the ride!

    Sharn thanks Thana for her help. Then he turns deadly sober and says that she is talking crazy. They'll find the truth out soon enough, but if it is true, of course he'll be around for the kid, but there ain't no way some high-toned woman gonna boss him around! Sharn is as free as a bird now, and this bird you cannot cage.

    7+16=23... 1d6+2 wounds restored=5+2=7

    Uh, since it costs 2 Vit, but Sharn has none left, does it costs 2 wound? Kind of whack if that is so.

    Yeah, she was hiding down in the canyon during the last fight, so not around to heal.

    Read the cost line of the chart - it costs 0 vitality to restore vitality.  Vitality does not equal health\hit points, once you stop thinking about it like D&D\PF it will help you.  Vitality is energy.

    It does cost you energy to actually heal your wounds.  This makes total sense to me.  

    However, if you are out of vitality, you can power your abilities with your actual life-force (health).  In other words, you can stay at 2 wound points and heal a larger amount of vitality for free (1d8+4 with a roll of 23) or you can spend Wound points to heal wound points, yes.  Instead of healing 7, you would gain a net total of 5 and still be wounded.  Honestly adding 1d8+4 vitality is probably a better choice, since you could then use other Force powers.  You still have the Wounded penalty at 2 or 7.

    Your choice, just note it when you decide.

    Sharn's statements to Thana makes her smile.  Sharn watches in amazement as Thana's blue skin and doctor jacket wash off her, like so much paint.  Thana's face is the same and the look in her eyes is just as intense, but Sharn now sees a Twilek with deep red skin and tribal looking black tattoos on her head-tails.

    Have to agree with Josh. Paying wound points to heal wounds is just bad design, IMHO, but I will abide by the RAW.

    I agree, you really shouldn't be doing that, you should be paying vitality to heal wounds, which was the intention. This is just an awkward collision between a specific skill and a house rule about using Wound points when you have no vitality. Just do the 0 cost vitality heal, if you don't like the rule and avoid the issue.

    Nicely done! You damage is consistently impressive for a shooter.

    Rakhu drops his rotary and blasts the possessed Tuskbeast about the face and eyes with his blaster. The beast howls in pain and grinds Rakhu between his teeth (no damage, just painful). The creature is now definitely into Wounds!

    Being swallowed whole is still just "grappled" plus you take bite damage every round for fun.  So -2 attack rolls, -4 dex, cannot move, etc etc

     study I love the note about using Escape, which puts you back into the creatures mouth  affraid

    Daxx will take bite damage again, if he stays inside.

    The first attack is a miss. The Tuskbeast is already into wounds, so a crit doesn't matter at this point. He takes 19 to the wounds. More importantly for Daxx, Daxx did more than 10% of his remaining hit points in damage and is able to cut himself loose.

    To observers, a glowing blade piercing the gut of the Tuskbeast from the inside. Like a reverse surgery, it slices open a gash and Daxx plops out, covered in stomach acid, bile and bits of Rakhu that are only partially chewed. Daxx drops to the ground, reflex save DC 12 to avoid 1d6 fall damage  Twisted Evil  (yeah, that was just being mean).

    Since the beast can no longer swallow Rakhu, he will simply chew him for flavor. It makes a full round attack, 1 bite\chew and 2 tusks against Daxx.

    For the rest....  the Tuskbeast is staggering and clearly on it's last gasps.   It has taken multiple blaster shots, lightsaber hits, whip lashes and has now been eviscerated from the inside out.

    T'son sprints inside the Sith Temple.  He runs up the steps and into the interior great chamber.  He sees the following

    The figure inside the crystal is the dessicated corpse of the long dead Sith King, known as Marcus Ragnar.  T'son can still see the massive crown, resting atop his skull.  He is still wearing his full armor, just as the Ghost was.

    The crystal looks to be of the same dark purple style that you have found all over Kintan.  This one is particularly dark. The corpse inside the crystal is clearly the hub of the entire dark-side force network.

    The nearly dead Wookie raises a mighty paw and smashes the Tuskbeast right between the eyes!  The creature staggers and then crashes to the cave floor in a heap.  Rakhu bounces out of the beast's maw without further injury.

    Irwin chirps, "Crickey boss, nice punch!  The whole galaxy will see that one in high def."

    A ghostly glow forms around the body of the tuskbeast.  The spirit of Marcus Ragnar endures!  The spectral visage of the long-dead Sith King rises from the corpse of the tuskbeast.

    It is not fully formed, but will be so on it's next turn.

    Thana calls out, "Beware, the Sith Ghost is not defeated.  Daxx, take this blade, I crafted it out of an alchemically treated crystal.  It's.... frequency should match the Ghost's vibration."  Thana uses the force to float over the Blacklight lightsaber, it hovers with easy reach of Daxx.  Thana also uses another Force ability, Daxx recognizes the application as a variation of Force Defense.

    Rodians have carried over their ancient tribal beliefs about ghosts. Ghosts are restless spirits that are somehow tied to this world because of grief, anger, unfulfilled desires, etc. and not able to pass on to the Happy Hunting Grounds of the afterlife. Most modern Rodians don't give ghosts a second thought.

    I am assuming that I can grab the saber as a free action?

    If not, Heal Self for sure and then a move action to follow T'son if the grabbing the saber is a free action, Daxx is finished after the Heal if not.

    Yeah, I figure it is less than drawing a sheathed wpn, so it would be free.   T'son did a full run straight into the temple, so looking at the combat map, Daxx would be moving 5 hexes and would not have gone as far as T'son.

    Move Object, just saying, can float you x4 your force user level or 24m which is 12hexes as a move action.  Or Burst of Speed.

    Yes, it will be T'son's turn, but I am still waiting on Sharn's roll and then I will reveal Thana's as well.

    Rakhu dashes past Daxx and arrives near T'son (within a couple hexes, figuring different starting points).  But just to be clear, Josh is right, it is just shaken, not panicked, so only -2 to all rolls, you are not compelled to flee, but it is cool if you are doing it in character anyways.  I would run as fast as my flat feet would carry me.

    I invited my cousin Dan to join our little gaming community. He lost touch with his gaming group last year and is looking to get back into play. Majority of his experince is with 2nd ED DnD, but I am certain he'll pick up new systems easliy because he's a sharp guy. Expect him to be lurking around soon!

    nice saves! No, currently the dark purple crystals only enhance 'projection' of Force powers, not resistance to the Force. (more on that later  Wink  )

    Thana does not appear shaken, nor possessed. (and the Sith Ghost is still present, so that's a dead giveaway) tongue

    Sorry that wasn't clear.  If you look at the image of the temple interior, in my mind T'son was in the central chamber, near the statue base with the crystal and body.

    The grenade lands at the foot of the statue.  Shards of crystal explode and fly throughout the temple interior.

    The body of Marcus Ragnar remains floating in the same position.  The Force conduit is now clearly visible (without See Force) connecting the corpse to the Ghost outside.

    Everyone, inside and outside, notice that immediately after the crystal explodes, the crystal artifacts that all the Nikto are carrying suddenly go dark, as if dormant.   study The Nikto are joining initiative  study 

    The Nikto remain passive but begin walking slowly, deliberately towards the central temple area.  A low chanting, as if from a rite or funeral procession fills the geode. They stare at the Ghost in awe and wonder.  They are coming to bear witness by the thousands.

    The party senses no threat from the Nikto masses.

    No penalties on Daxx. But Daxx did move inside the temple last turn, 1 move action. So you would have to move back to the ghost and then make 1 attack, if that is what you want to do.

    This needs to be Daxx's decision, I am not trying to influence you either way. Let me just make sure everything gets stated in 1 place, so you can think about your action carefully.

    Thana gave Daxx the blacklight Lightsaber when she saw the ghost rising out of the body, which was dead, so the ghost was no longer possessing the tuskbeast. The ghost is now free floating, very scary and trying to possess the nearest body to be a host (Sharn and Thana, since everyone else ran inside).

    T'son was the first person inside the temple, no one knew there was a corpse in a crystal inside, presumably including Thana. T'son just broke the crystal that was surrounding the corpse. Daxx can now see a clear Force energy conduit emanating from the corpse to the ghost.

    Daxx would be 1 move from either the ghost (going back outside) or the corpse at the base of the statue (continuing inside).

    Does that help? Feel free to ask for further clarification
