She's ok for the moment... as I only have one major encounter left here (with a couple minor ones thrown in) let's try to get this wrapped up soon. I'm going to be swamped with work for the next month or so.

I am fine with wrapping up quickly, but I am still waiting on an answer for the 2 items below that were not included in the description of identified items.  Both are potentially usable by JT, so hence my interest

Everbody has been deferring the decision, so to expedite this, CJC will step up.

Which is another reason why Pathfinder is an antiquated system. Both 4e and 5e both allow for short rests and recovery of encounter-based spells.

"Okay, you fellas go on, I'll take my chances here. If I survive the night, and have recovered my spells, I'll join up with ya!"

Are the side doors rooms or hallways?

I don't believe that anyone has actually investigated the secret door to the south. the one to the north is a tunnel, as far as you can see and just seems to go on... you think this could just be an access tunnel?

Sorry for the delay guys, been dealing with a sick infant and girlfriend all week. Elliot is cool with whatever plan. He's not very assertive or much of a decision maker type.

ok, I just want to be clear about the IRL issues here.....

are we trying to wrap this up quickly or continuing to roleplay the whole dungeon?

At our usual pace, we could poke around for weeks exploring, doing smaller encounters and such.

It seems to me like the GM has asked twice to wrap this up. Yet we are all dillying around as usual. I suggest the GM just advances us to the final scene, with some brief narrative of exploration and how we got there. We do the final fight and conclusion, so Josh can focus on his IRL issues.

I'm not trying to "wrap it up" so much as just to get an idea what you guys want to do next.

Options:

Rest somewhere
Investigate the 'secret room'
Blow the stone up and get to the next chamber
Some combination of the above options
???

What would you all like to do.

Clarification: the secret room is the one to the south that is actually a secret door, I misspoke. The tunnel to the north is where your opponents entered from (I should have told you this earlier, sorry.)

the wall panel slides open to reveal a vault (12' long, 10' wide). It contains tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of pounds worth of gold, items and artifacts. (Appraise roll?)

there are more reliefs in this room that suggest the queen has "turned from the light"... whatever that could mean

you also see an altar on which, from appearances, a stake is laid. It is made of gold, bronze and encrusted with lapis luzali, the stake itself is made out of what appears to be bone.

Actions, questions?

The glitter of gold sparkles in the witches' eyes. Many orphans could be fed from value of this hoard. "We must be careful. There may still me more traps."

JT has a bit of Appraise. His dwarven eyes are drawn the shimmering piles of gold.

you'd say about 1/4 million pounds worth of stuff is here... something else about this room... it was added after the tomb was built, your Dwarven knowledge of stone craft shows this to be added a few decades later you'd say, by different builders.

As the Colonel views the objects in the room, he is reminded of rituals from India that had been described to him... purification rituals, binding spirits... something akin to that is what this room (as well as several of the objects, non-magical) are meant for...

As Olivia tries to study the stake, she touches it and is immediately shown images in her mind.... In the dim and distant past, there was an a vile and manipulative queen... she corrupted her children and she turned her husband, the great Pharaoh Thutmoses III into a creature of darkness, appealing to his appetite for power and glory.



Decades of darkness descended on Egypt...the people suffered and all of Thutmoses' enemies were crushed mercilessly.



As this darkness descended on the land... Anubis took pity on the living, he did not take kindly to someone defying death or rushing others to their own deaths before their time was due.  The God of the Underworld, with the help of Isis, fashioned a holy weapon that could be used to slay these monsters.. but it fell to a young man of pure heart and will to end the reign of terror of these monsters....  such a man was found amongst the Pharaoh's bodyguards... a man of surprising strength and purity.



After the two tyrants were slain, the god Anubis mandated that their remains were to mummified and entombed in sealed sarcophagi...  the last vision is of maidens laying the stake in this room... then it was sealed by spells and engineering skill.
