Shivak smiles and then uses the force to raise multiple objects into the air and have them move around the room.

Many of the pirates look up expectantly when Shivak states that you are not ghosts or dead.  One brave Nikto starts to object, "But... we saw the angels....."

As soon as Shivak starts talking about booty and treasure, they again all divert their eyes and continue mumbling "dead men tell no tales".  None of them appear to notice Shivak's levitation performance.

When he regains consciousness, he continues, "Please master, that is not necessary, I was simply introducing myself."  The head addresses the party agian, "Please forgive my master and his friends for their manners.  They are a superstitious lot and don't often get visitors, especially ones who arrived as you did.  My programming does not include such limitations."  (nor did HK-55's)

The droid head's comments make the party think about their arrival.....

The wisps seem to be carrying the Wrenvenge towards a landing platform on one of the central asteroid bases.  As the ship gets closer, the crew can see humanoids in space suits and passing smaller ships.  They all appear to be watching the wisps with a kind of reverence and awe.

The wisps fly around the other asteroid bases playfully before reforming their pod and heading back into the outer storm.

Anyone else want to take a shot at the social encounter?

Shivak (finally picking up on the 'gist' of their statements) tells a tale of titanic battles between the Sith and Republic. He "embellishes" the party's role in things (making them out to be the best pirates around) and then tells of a great chase that brought them here when SDX managed to contact the lifeforms that we saw.

cheers give the Celt a cigar!!!

Shivak captivates the entire audience of pirates.  They are most pleased to hear that you fight both the Pubs and Imps.  They are fascinated by your contact with the "angels".

An old toothless pirate, named Theran,  recounts his contact with them nearly 30 years ago, "Ya' see?  I told ya lads that they carried my ship here too."  The party can tell that many of the younger pirates now look at Theran with the same new-found respect they are showing you.

Many other pirates tell their tales.  It is their custom and way of getting to know each other.  There are fringers, ex-military, smugglers, salvagers, explorers and straight-up pirates.  They buy the party as many rounds of grog as you will drink.  Many of the pirates recognize Tarro from the holovids of the Great Hunt.  News of Coruscant's destruction has not reached Port Nowhere, since it has been in the Nebula.

After several hours, Jakarro bellows and the room goes quite.  CN-B3 translates

"Master Jakarro welcomes you to Port Nowhere."

The pirates echo in reply, "There's Nowhere like home!"

CN-B3, "The Dockmaster will assign you a private frequency, so you can always find Port Nowhere.   Port Nowhere moves frequently and if the Dockmaster doesn't answer, we are here in the nebula cloud which jams all sensors and communications.  You can also use that frequency to contact any other ships in your sector."

The pirates echo in reply, "There's Nowhere like home!"

CN-B3 "We have many scrap parts and expert deckhands, though nothing is free.  No prey, no pay."

study the party can now use Port Nowhere as a base of operations, contacts, resources, and information source.  Port Nowhere has limited communications that would suit SDX.  Their systems could be modified, but you would have to go get\build the new equipment.  Nar Shadda, which is the core server for the entire Holonet is still SDX's best bet - and where Tarro might want to return to check on his status in the Great Hunt.

Anything else the party wants to say or do during the celebration?

if not, the scene will progress

    everyone gets +1 level cheers

not counting the personal backstory threads, the party has successfully completed the following encounters:

    fight at the dock

    ship combat, escape Coruscant

encounter with Wisps\space angels - this could have been combat (the red one WAS going to eat Tarro), but you handled it well

figuring out the code of port and bypassing HK-55 without a fight

social encounter - figuring out the pirate's puzzle

probably just a glitch, I know the link used to work.

you should be able to figure out 80% of it - BAB, saves, skills, HP, feats, talents, etc all track at regular intervals

maybe try the PF forums, someone else might have noticed and posted the stats

The power surge fried every system on the ship that was active at the time

    Weapons and shields are functional

Life support and sensors have been repaired fully

Ion engines are barely funcational, more like maneuvering jets than real engines

currently damaged and nonfunctional = cloak

hyperdrive = just out of gas (hyper-matter)

I will work on a new star map for you, but Port Nowhere is beyond the "fringe" in an area the pirates call "Wild Space".

All of SW takes place in 1 single galaxy (like the Milky Way) with Core worlds, inner rim, outer rim and the fringe referring to their relative positions in the 1 galaxy.

SDX's people come from another nearby galaxy.

Astronomically speaking, Wild Space is in the "empty" space between galaxies. It literally is "nowhere" and not in any galaxy.

study I am not sure what you mean.  Does Tarro want to join another crew and work for some pay?
The pirates here are generally opportunist and target both Imp and Pub ships, plus do work for the Hutts or whatever suits their fancy.

HK-55 would love some relief working the dock guard post, so he can hunt mynocks Cool

A generally easier option, might be to have everyone look at their characters, pool extra credits and just buy some parts Rolling Eyes

SDX has no credits. Assuming we are safely back in the "Wrenvenge" and out of earshot of others,

"Personal designation Obsever, SDX. Many Formal profiles remain un-established. Fighting Creature, Red and Unknown Utility Creature, Hairy lack social designation. Request designations and functions of lesser servitor creatures aboard container."

Tarro was hoping to find work at port. He has very little coin on him.

Tarro will approach the old man who knew about the whisps helping stranded ships, "What was Jakarro saying about getting rid of vermin? Do they need a hunter?"

If there is nothing there, Tarro will look around the ship for anything he can use to barter.

    SDX update complete.

We should be kibitzing about a plan on the ship before before wandering about the station.

    Options -

Killing vermin seems to be the equivalent of paying rent. I don't think we'll earn credits that way.

Roll up a weaker crew and take their stuff.

Pull a heist /scam/deal on station and make some cash

Use our celebrity status and player character brains to take over the station and build a pirate army!!!

Limp off with our wounded ship and pull a raid for some quick cash.

Rent /borrow a ship for the above raid.

Shivak is far more interested in 'big scores'.  I say we get the ship fixed as best we can and then run a raid.  I'm sure we could get help.

Or, alternatively, if we can find a planet that would have the parts and such that we need, we run a raid there to steal it.  I would like to use this guy in a non-space battle before much longer.

    my 2 cents

...and I have 1800 credits that are going to be contributed to fixing the ship

    Shivak is updated

    Great roleplaying!

Yes - backup hyperdrive is still functional

that mostly leave just the ion engines and refueling the main hyperdrive

in the loot thread, you have the following, after removing the other items that got divided up and repurchased via your starting funds in PF

navyik wrote:If you take something, edit the post.
This post reflects all previous comments combined, (Except the ship).  Talibs property is returned to him.

2 suits of light armor, with z-6 jet packs, DR3, max dex +4, spd 10, armor chk -2
4 blaster rifles, over\under grenade launchers
    12 grenades (4d6+1)
    2 blaster pistols
    2600 credits
4 med kits, 4 med packs
    2 vibroblades
    2 macro binocs
    1 thermal detonator

Sniper rifle with single shot modified crit rng 18-20

MW Blaster rifle 3d8+1 damage, built in smart chip works with targeting in helmet

you could certainly refuel if you traded that stuff, the weapons and armor in particular are in demand here.

that leaves the repair of the ion engines.  in the sandbox spirit, I will wait until you decide the course of action you wish to take.

you have met several characters that you could try to use as contacts: dockmaster, HK-55, Jakaro\CN-B3 and Theran.  There are hundreds of other pirates from dozens of ships, if you want to meet more

Lets start with the dockmaster. "We have 4450 credits and weapons and armor to trade. We need hyper drive refuel and ion engines repaired. Get it done and your mechanics can say they helped Tarro Bloodwren in The Great Hunt."

Shivak will use Affect Mind freely here as well to get us the help we need (or Friendship). Just tell me if there needs to be rolls.

sure, just let me know what the plan is when the party decides.

Friendship probably won't be as useful because all the pirates are indifferent or friendly already, not hostile or unfriendly.  Just remember range is 10m on Affect Mind Exclamation

    currently suggested:

    Tarro - contact Dockmaster

    SDX - long list

Shivak - Affect Mind based on the plan

Should have some time to level-up Sharn this weekend.

Sharn approaches Jakaro. "Well met, brother. How much do you know of the Great Force?"

Shivak is re-updated. Since Rob hadn't finished yet... I just switched a Feat (Master Defense over Burst of Speed)
