    Episode 1, Conclusion Master10

"Thank the Force you are alive, my young padawan.  I sensed a great disturbance in the Force all the way on Ord Mantell.  The other Jedi there also sensed it.  It was like a beacon in the night sky.  I used my Farsight and I saw you at the center of the disturbance..... did you cause it?"

Daxx can sense about a dozen other Jedi, mostly knights (stronger than Daxx, weaker than Duros) with Master Duros on board the Valiant.

Duros interjects, before Daxx can even reply, "Wait!  Don't tell me now.  You need to get back to Coruscant and report to Grandmaster Satele Shan.  I am sensing a lot of incoming Force users.  The situation here is about to become more.... interesting.  Tell your story to GM Shan, her wisdom will guide us all.  May the Force be with you."

The proximity alarms on board Thana's Grace begin to go wild.  On sensors and out of the cockpit window, the heroes see ships dropping out of hyper-space all around Kintan.  There are starfighters, freighters, cruisers and even Republic Dreadnaughts and Sith Destroyers.

Within moments the space above Kintan erupts in a dazzling display of red and green ribbons.  The Republic and Sith forces quickly become engaged in a full scale space battle, with more ships arriving on both sides.

Anyone else have any actions before the ship jumps to hyperspace?

Rakhu has no pre hyperspace actions. In hyperspace he has The following agenda:
-Suit up in the red armor and assure its functionality (with talib's help).
-Inventory the contents of the ship, (looking for a suitable replacement for the rotary which got obliterated in the missle strike).
-Personalize tarro's rifle to reduce multifire penalty by 1.
    -eat boogers.

Feeling somber, Sharn grabs a vibroknife from the loot bin and retrieves to his quarters. The vision he endured at the temple weighs heavily on his mind. Was it the confrontation with the ghosts or the revelation that Thana was a Sith lord (or even watching his pet tuskbeast Tony eaten like a snack), but the pressure was too much. Something inside his already bruised psyche snapped. He will never again be the same.

    Episode 1, Conclusion RyykBlade-TNR

Sitting on his knees, he holds out the blade with his right hand, feeling the point with his left, running a furry finger along it's edge. Then he slowly begins to slice into his arm. Blood oozes out from a line and seeps into his fur. The wookie makes another cut. And another.

"Crikey, Boss! You think that's a good idea?" asked Irwin, who had been busy perusing the video data in his memory, searching for clues.

    "Vangor rashtanar bandnoor rawalll Sharnralkin voodoarr. Larrar tranoshkis nashnor rawwalll!" {Let it be known to all, those in the realms of the living and beyond, Sharnralkin is now the bloodsworn. May all the Trandoshans fear me as they fear the scourge of doom!}

"Boss, you okay? I've never seen you like this."

Sharn ignored the droid. Blood from several slices in his arm spilled onto the floor. He felt woozy, but also  invigorated. Now he understood there was power in the darkside. He was only to provide the appropriate sacrifice to receive it. Sharn set the blade down on a table and stumbled out the door.

Now he saught Rakhu. Would he be in his chambers? Sharn figured there was much he can learn from the cold-hearted killer. The soldier had obliterated thousands of Niktos without a thought. Perhaps Rakhu would be willing to join Sharn in his genociding the Trandoshans? Perhaps Daxx and T'son would join them as well, if the price was right. Surely, when the documentary is completed, the should be more than enough proceeds to fund the vendetta.

    awesome role-playing lately Rob!  cheers

after the epilogue, let's chat about how you want to proceed with Sharn, there are a couple options I can see, both of which could be interesting in different ways

the main question is whether you want to keep playing Sharn as a dark-tainted PC or let Sharn become an NPC villain and Rob plays something new next time. I think either could work and add a really interesting story dynamic.

I am sure there are other options too...

It's kind of up to the other players if they want to convert to the darkside for an adventure (or more).. Might be fun, might be disgusting.

If everyone still wants to be good-aligned "heroes" then I'll probably just make a new character. Maybe Irwin's new owner, or something... Then, Sharn can be spun off to the GM's discretion.

But it might be fun to roleplay a darkside party. Just sayin!

Rob, I've seen dorkness rising.. really funny stuff!

Trying to be honest as far as Daxx is concerned, I doubt that he'd ever go darkside.  He may have some temper issues, but, as I have shown, does not give in to them.   He may be frustrated occasionally with the Jedi order, but he's just about to Knight status and, if anything, would throw up his hands and just withdraw from the whole conflict entirely.  Not that I'm planning on playing him that way.

... my two cents. Not that I'm adverse to playing an evil character... far from it.

like I said in the other thread.... the conclusion has a lot of writing on my part, but I want to get it all done, with pictures, before I post any of it.

No, honestly, we are not going to role play out the whole encounter, it could take weeks actually taking turns talking. We'll see what Master Duros has to say about Knighthood  Razz

sorry for the delay, just be patient guys.

as for Rob, I don't think everyone is going Darkside, but by the same token, Sharn could certainly role-play his slide into Darkness over the next episode, if you want to go that route. It doesn't have to be all good, Sharn the healer of wounded troops and savior of stranded Nikto one day and psychopathic killer the next.

But totally up to you, after Episode 1 is a good place for anyone to switch characters. Characters that go over to the dark side WILL make appearances as villains, just saying  afro

quick edit.... I forgot my own history, from "The Old Republic"  thread

Chris wrote:BBY - Before Battle of Yavin (Episode 4, Luke destroys the Death Star)

In 3,681 BBY, a Sith Empire under the leadership of an immortal Sith Emperor returned to the larger galaxy and launched an assault on the Galactic Republic, sparking the Great Galactic War. The conflict lasted for a total of twenty-eight years, with the Sacking of the Republic capital of Coruscant forcing the Republic to submit to the Empire's demands and sign the Treaty of Coruscant. The galaxy then enters a tense Cold War, with the Republic rebuilding and the Jedi Order retreating to the homeworld of Tython after the destruction of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant while the Empire secures their domain and prepares for the eventual resumption of hostilities.

By 3,643 BBY, the tensions between the Empire and the Republic have begun to boil over, and proxy and side conflicts occurring across the galaxy only serve to inflame these hostilities

    Duros told the party

Not to derail the sum-up, but if Sharn could MC with Jedi then I might consider retaining him and steering him back to the righteous path. Maybe Daxx could agree to train him, y'know, outside of the approval of the counsel? ... just so long as he can get a lightsaber, or lightwhip, or something of that nature!  Twisted Evil

After a short jaunt through hyperspace (long enough for Rakhu to get into his new Red Armor) Thana's Grace drops back into space around the planet Tython.  Tython is the ancient homeworld of the Jedi Order.  The party can see several Republic Cruisers in orbit.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Swtor_11

Daxx's receives coordinates to land at the ancient Jedi Temple's landing ports.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Master11

Waiting for the party on the dock is Ashara Zavros, Grand Master Satele Shan's apprentice.  Ashara is rumored to be even more naturally gifted in the Force than her mentor GM Shan.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Ashara10

"Welcome to Tython, honored heroes."  Ashara bows deeply.  "Master Shan sent me to escort you the command center inside the temple.  The battle of Kintan is still going and she is needed there.  If we hurry, we might catch the end of the conflict.  This way, please."

Ashara leads the heroes to speeder.  Ashara quickly pilots the party through the idyllic countryside of Tython.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Tython10

As you travel, Ashara gives you all a brief history of Tython.  Most notable is that you are going to the very first Jedi Temple ever constructed.  It is old, but still standing after untold thousands of years.  It is even rumored that at the summit of the nearby Mt. Taishan, the first lightsaber was assembled.

The heroes arrive at the ancient Jedi Temple.

Ashara leads the heroes into the chamber.

Grand Master Satele Shan is deep in meditation and telepathic communication with the fleet.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Swtor_12

The heroes see the final moments of an epic space battle.  The attending masters cheer as the remnants of the Republic Fleet can be seen driving off the superior numbers of the Imperial Destroyers.  It is unclear at first how the Republic ships managed to gain a superior position, behind the Imperials.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Swotor10

Then Daxx notices a formation of Hammerhead class cruisers that had drawn all of the Imperial fire and attention.  Daxx feels a sinking in his heart as he watches the Valiant break in two at mid-stern.  The pieces get caught in Kintan's gravity well and plummet to the surface as brilliant as a two falling stars.  As the Valiant falls, the other illusionary Hammerhead cruisers fade away.

Daxx alone hears a faint whisper, "Daxx, the Force will guide you, always."

The rest of the Jedi Masters breath a sigh of relief as the battle ends.  Crew and damage reports begin streaming in from the surviving warships.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Satele10

Grand Master Satele Shan ends her meditation.  When her eyes open, she is staring at Daxx, tears streaming down her cheeks.  The other masters suddenly notice and grow quiet.  The celebration ends quickly.  The Battle of Kintan is forever remembered as Kunn's Gambit throughout the Republic, in honor of the late Jedi Master Duros Kunn's sacrifice.

Grand Master Satele Shan asks for a full report of your activities on Kintan.  Ash Falcata and Major Madine join the Jedi Council to listen to your account.

study If each of you want to give an 'in character' account, feel free to, or not, it's up to you.  The main thing I need to know is whether you give a full and detailed account or if you omit anything.  Assume you can trust the assembled group, as each of you are reporting to your superiors.

Except Sharn, who really has no direct position in the Republic.  Irwin does have a video account of almost everything.  There are several minutes of static near the end, which correspond to the "Awaking" all the heroes experienced inside the temple.  The footage picks up again with Irwin grabbing the rifle and flying up to Thana's Grace.

There is no evidence of the Dread Masters, except for the earlier manifestation of the ghost of Marcus Ragnar, before Daxx severed the Force conduit and ripped the fabric of the universe.

Rakhu's report will be accurate and complete, but uneducated as to the force. His accidental attunement is a mystery that he has yet to harness. He never really believed in the force; he is Unsure what to do with that.

    Oops, sorry bro. lol.

Fuck it, Daxx will do a full report, I can't think of a reason to hide anything and he obviously chose to stay loyal and try to fulfill his mission.

Sharn will answer any direct questions as truthfully as he can (recall), but doesn't volunteer anything. He doesn't trust them.

Rakhu also asks for resupply and dispatch to begin the great hunt IF there is a way to pretend to kill jedi and present credible authentication.

we'll wait for Matt before we move on

but remember from the Madalorian part of the story, there are 3 hunters assigned to 2 targets per round. You can move on by either killing a target or eliminating the other 2 hunters.

you could, theoretically, protect any Jedi targets by killing the other hunters and still win a given round

good to know about the Force powers

Grandmast Satele Shan and the others listen intently to the full report.  There are mixed reactions of horror and disbelief at the accounts of the Dread Masters and Force Ghosts.  (remember, the Jedi don't teach this and view it as unnatural).

    Episode 1, Conclusion Satele11

GM Shan addresses the heroes, "On behalf of the Jedi and the Republic, l sincerely thank you for your service.  None of us expected you to uncover such a deep and troubling sequence of events when we sent you to Kintan.  You have all performed a Hero's duty and deserve recognition."

"Daxx Taynari, kneel young padawan."   Daxx takes a knee, in the custom of the Jedi before the Grand Master and the Jedi Council.  GM Shan ignites her lightsaber and carefully cuts off Daxx's Padawan Braid.  "Arise, Knight of the Republic."

Daxx rises on steady feet.  GM Shan continues, "Daxx has surpassed any Jedi trial here on Tython.  Daxx succeeded at his mission to uncover the source of the Sith Artifacts originating on Kintan.  Daxx has shown both exceptional prowess in combat and a keen sense of the Force, following the clues to this disturbing mystery.  Daxx, you are welcome to receive training as either a Sentinel (Jedi Wpn Master prestige class) or as an Investigator (Jedi Investigator Prestige class)."

Satele's tone turns somber, "We all feel the loss of Master Duros, who's wisdom guided this young padawan to Knighthood.  Daxx, you are free to choose a padawan from the ranks of younglings, if you wish."

    Episode 1, Conclusion Madine11

General Madine calls out in a firm, military voice, "Sargent N'butu, step forward."

Rakhu snaps to attention, wiping a piece of recently-picked ear wax on his jacket as he approaches the general.

Madine continues, "Sgt. N'butu, you successfully discovered the source of the mutations and aggressive behavior of the wildlife on Kintan.  We never suspected such an usual and unnatural source for the changes.  You have gone above and beyond your rank in providing exemplary service to ROX and the Republic.  You are hereby granted the rank of Commander (Officer Prestige class) and are welcome in the ranks of the Republic's elite special forces, HAVOC squad (Elite Trooper prestige class)."

    Episode 1, Conclusion Bothan11

The Bothan Spymaster, Ash Falcata uncomfortably takes the spotlight.  His fur ripples with pride when calls T'son.

"T'son Hoil, stand and be recognized.  Agent Hoil, you successfully uncovered the Sith agents who infiltrated the Republic Science Bureau.  Observe...."

A holo image appears behind him and the heroes can see Dr. Helian being lead onto a shuttle in binders.  Republic agents can be seen carrying off all the data and computers containing Helian's research.  The Kaminoains look generally relieved to have Helian's (Tenebrous') plot revealed.  They are grateful to the Republic and offer to join the Republic Science Bureau as honorary members.  (they still won't join the Republic as a planet)

Ash continues, "Agent Hoil, you have proven your worth and are welcome among the Bothans as a Spymaster (Spymaster or other Prestige class)."

    Episode 1, Conclusion Satele11

GM Shan adds, "As a group, you succeeded at every level of your mission.  The galaxy is safer when the Kaminoains think of the Republic as their friends."

"Sharnralkin, step forward.  You alone are not a soldier, an agent or Jedi.  As a citizen of the Republic, you made potentially the ultimate sacrifice of in the name of Democracy.  You willingly joined a military operation as a civilian.  Your bravery and dedication to freedom is without question.  I have no ranks or titles to give you.  But know that you have the thanks of a grateful Republic.  If there is anything within my power that I can do for you, just ask and it will heard with open ears."

To all the heroes, "Take a well earned rest here on Tython.  This world is the original home to the Jedi.  You will find peace here.  Let it restore your tired spirits.  When you are ready, come back to the council so we can discuss your next quest.  Your unique skills and ability will always be needed.  Kunn's Gambit was the first open conflict with the Sith Empire in nearly 40 years.  The cold war has ended.  The Republic will need all the heroes it has.  War has begun."

Grand Master Satele Shan seems fatigued by the very words.  The ceremony has ended.  The heroes are free to relax and recover on Tython.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Tython13

Sharn finds himself alone in the forest surrounding the Jedi Temple. Sharn contemplates his future. Rage fills his heart and he is tempted to fuel that fire (Dark Side Marauder Prestige class). Sharn also remembers GM Shan's words and wonders if the Jedi would truly train him as one of their own.

Sharn feels a presence and looks up to see the spirits of his ancestors.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Family10

They speak in a calm voice, "Sharnralkin, we heard your call. Your ancestor are always with you. We will guide you......" They fade away.

Sharn hears a rustling in the trees and sees a venerable Wookie emerge from the foilage.

    Episode 1, Conclusion Wookei10

He speaks in a deep and calm voice, "I am Attichitcuk. I have seen you from across the stars. You are stronger for over coming that great evil on your own and with your allies. Faith in your friends is essential in this time of war. I cannot aid you in battle, but I can teach you and prepare you for whatever obstacles you might face."

Attichitcuk can teach you the Prestige classes of Wookie Force Hunter or Living Force Ranger (or some other similar class\combo) if you want to keep Sharn and not go Jedi or Dark Side.

    study
All Force points were indeed refilled, to your max (Rakhu can hold more) from the encounter on Kintan.

Everyone gains 3 levels, including the possibilities of Prestige classes. You can also feel free to pull from other sources, but look at Power of the Jedi and Prestige class sourcebook for ideas. You can even look in PF (spymaster) and adapt magic to Force, since we have time. study

Daxx to the Grand Master.  "May I serve the Force and the Jedi with unwavering loyalty and faith in Justice.  I will meditate for now and think on whether not to take on a Padawan.  Thank you Grand Master."

Awesome stuff Chris...  I really want to get back to this in the future.  Daxx will take one level of Jedi Guardian and then 2 levels of Weapons Master (FTW!!).  Can I still do the Con/Wis score swap that we had discussed?

One other thing, I can't seem to find where it says what Max Force Points would be?

Awesome stuff Chris...  I really want to get back to this in the future.  Daxx will take at least one level of Jedi Guardian and then 2 levels of Weapons Master (FTW!!).  Can I still do the Con/Wis score swap that we had discussed and, are you playing by the SW rules as to Two-Weapon fighting (do we need to take Ambidexterity to get penalties knocked down)?  We had discussed using PF feats in this game and it PF, two weapons fighting works differently (no Ambidexterity, it's assumed)

One other thing, I can't seem to find where it says what Max Force Points would be?

Force Point cap is 5 for non Force Sensitive or 1 + lvl for FS = 10 for ya'll

yes, PF is better, no ambidexterity needed, that's just redundant and unbalanced compared to Rapid Shot

I would fine with each player making 1 "mulligan" adjustment on their character if you all want.  Switch 2 attributes, swap out a Feat, reallocate some skill points, something like that.

Please just ask first, so it doesn't get out of hand, but I know you were not very familiar with SW or what you wanted your characters to do at creation.  I could see Alan rearranging a Feat to get Powered Armor or Matt tinkering with his skills or whatever.

Alan - also check out Mandalorian Super Commando in the Netbook of Prestige classes.  I know Rakhu isn't a Mando, but the armor specific feats would fit the character direction.  or Bounty Hunter, of course

    Thanks!

This was by far the most fun I have had telling a story. I know it took 9 months, but I finally feel like I got to really tell the story I wanted to tell and not shorten it for expediency's sake.

You guys were a fantastic group of players and characters, of course, and that always makes the job more enjoyable. (rules bickering including!)

Great wrap-up! Great adventure too! A little rail-roady, but you had a particular story to tell and it was awesome. Glad to see it though to a climax, if not ending. I am intrigued to see how the characters will evolve in later tales. Would definitely appreciate coming back to this campaign, whenever!

I want to research the different prestige classes and options. Then I'll know more how to proceed with Sharn's development.
