Destroying the Corrupted Machine of Throne saved the majority of the Thousand Worlds from a cancerous plague of Unlife, but caused a much greater problem that may end up being the undoing of the Plenary Prime.

In the decades that followed, it became apparent that the ancient spells and mechanisms that had banished the Titans beyond the Prime were failing.

The whole of the Plenary Prime is now a battleground, with Scores of factions scrambling to secure any advantage they think may help them survive. The Gods themselves battle to keep the cosmic defenses fast. Alien Pantheons and Ancient rivals join forces in Clashes that shake the heavens and shatter mountains.

Context: Every Titan has 20 levels in every class, and all mythic tiers of all mythic paths.

They are joined by an ally older than the Gods themselves, the TRUE FEY. Those who fought the Titans and WON.

Context: All True Fey posses 20 levels in six Classes, and all mythic tiers in six mythic paths. Some have more of each.
Context: The Gods possess 20 levels in three Classes, and all mythic tiers in three mythic paths. Some have more of each.

Their Queen, known as "The Tytonya" ("she is who conquered the Titans") and their greatest warrior, known as "The Oberon" ("he who rules the host") are gathering any forces they can find to thwart both the Titanic powers, and the rival factions who would steal away the weapons and tools that will be needed to defeat their old foes.

They have scoured the Thousand Worlds for Champions, and called them to serve should they be great enough in Valor. Many have come, many have fought....and many have died.

In the Thousand Worlds, Power attracts Power. Where an immensely powerful being, artifact, or Champion arrives, so to will those of an equal energetic level. Send the most powerful Dragon to secure a God Seed, and it will be met by an equally powerful foe. To counter this, The Oberon has a plan.

Missions are assigned to teams of certain power levels that are calculated to be of a a level that will only illicit a certain level of response from other factions. He deliberately assigns Champions whose power are on the absolute minimum power level required to handle a mission, so that a phenomenon known simply as "Escalation" can be minimized. Escalation occurs when factions send increasingly more powerful forces to an area. The hope is that a mission can be successfully completed prior to Escalation reaching a stage where the engaged forces are so powerful that the engagement is no longer manageable.

Luckily, the limitation of portals that can be established in any World at a given time is 3. No more than 3 portals can be active in one World at any given time.

All of the characters have been recruited by The Oberon and have agreed to serve on the side of Order and Good in this conflict, regardless of their individual predispositions. As stated before, this is the first time they have fought together.

The Oberon commands his forces from a hidden fortress that roams the Astral Plane. This is also the center of the character's operations. . There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Champions coming and going here at any moment. Even more operate from other strongholds.

The characters can use the facilities to craft any item that is within their level. They can also request more powerful items, although those are subject to power level allocation so as not to encourage Escalation.

The Oberon has assigned the party to secure the God Seed that has been discovered on Xiq. It is not to fall into the hands of another faction!

    VERY COOL IDEA!

I am a bit confused though. Is this -

    contradictory to this

The ultimate victory would be to deliver the God Seed, save Xiq, and get the artifact back through your own portal to safety. Completing a task like that....well that could be something of "mythic proportions".

Or is the party to somehow keep control of the Seed but use it to break the siege? I thought the Xiq'quan had a weapon that needed the Seed to power it.....

I don't see those as mutually exclusive. I think we're able to use the seed to temporarily secure Xiq before delivering it to Oberon.

The Oberon's bottom line is that the seed does not fall into another faction's hands. If this can be accomplished AND the party can generate a "local" win for good and order by saving the Xiq from Nokore's army, it serves the overall plan.

As Champions, The Oberon expects the characters to make choices based on an individual mission's variables. He assigns the task, states the expected end result, and lets the Champions sort out the details.

We can classify the potential end states for this mission as -

Loss-: The seed is lost to another faction and local threats to "Good and Order" are not resolved.
    -No rewards.
Loss: The seed is lost to another faction.
-Survivors granted minimal experience and rewards.
Win: The seed is secured by the Champions.
-Survivors granted flat experience and rewards.
Win+: The seed is secured and local threats to "Good and Order" are resolved.
-Survivors granted max experience and rewards, Mythic tier advancement.

    Ok, that helps, thanks.

Do our characters know, from Oberon, how to use the Seed for the Xiq? (what do we need to do with it in order to achieve the local victory aspect, without losing control of it)

Don Taen is the only person who knows how to operate the Lantern of Dawn, so the victory condition cannot be met if he dies prior to the activation of the artifact.

You do not have any scrying capability on the siege, as it was focused on the movements of the Seed since the Pregen party removed it from its hiding place. You'll need to interface with the pregens for that info.

He would be expecting the locals. To the Oberon's staff's knowledge, Don Taen is unaware of the Larger Plenary Prime and its complexities.

so nobody on the staff or the God Oberon himself can even give me a verbal description of where to take the Seed???

Rolling Eyes some god he is

I am not interested in the siege or the enemy - I want to know where the city is, ergo where to take the Seed once we secure it.
