So..... Looking at the WOD rules, it looks like we will have lots of reading to do... I will do my best not to build any ideas till we know how josh wants us to proceed.

Re: so......
...that's wise.
I'm going to read through the stuff that Matt sent around this weekend. My first glance at it made me think it was very promising.

Re: so......
Ok, this is to notify everyone that I will run something after Matt (unless Rob really wants to run his primitive campaign or something else, I don't want push someone out of the way).
We WILL be using the Monte Cooke WoD books that Matt sent around but the setting will probably be somewhat different (in case you don't know, I'm not a fan of dystopian settings or genres)but that is not set in stone at this point.
The only change that will definitely be made is the way skills are set up in this game. I will never use 3.5 again (cross-class skills, as written, don't really work). Instead, we'll use a modified version of Pathfinder's skill set and ranking system.
Otherwise, unless I see something that I really don't like, the classes and what not will remain the same. This is tentative as I have a lot of reading left to do in those books. Matt, thanks a bunch for finding this! It looks pretty cool and I'm quite interested to finish reading through it

If it's d20 WoD, then put me down for some kind of a spell-caster. Maybe a shaman... I do like the rules for building your own unique spells.

Re: so......
I'll be open to options. I still haven't read through the books well enough to make any changes yet but I'm going to try to read through them this weekend (stupid foot keeps me from doing much else) lol

Re: so......
As you read through stuff this weekend, keep in mind the idea of race\class and world-view Lore.
As I read the Monte Haul d20 WoD rules, in general race = class, much like radiance. Vampire is both a race and class. same for WW, demon, etc etc.
If you are going to change the lore, ie not use the "there are really no vamps, ww, demons. they are all inter-dimensional alien invaders" part of Cooke's WoD, then you may or may not need to revise the entire race\class setup, since some of it is specific to that lore. (vamps are 2 souls in 1 body, for example)
I like the idea of the mages and the Awakened humans being the pillars of reality. It was sort of a mix between WoD, the Matrix and TORG all rolled into 1 package.
If you don't use that lore, would you be going back to the traditional WoD version of vamps, ww, mages?
Would we still be a "party" together regardless of adversarial races or would it be more like the old WoD where we might be against each other?
I agree about PF skills and feats, but I think the larger issue of Lore and what style (party or adversarial) of game it would be, are the most important.

Re: so......
Very good points Chris! I will address all of them.
Yeah, something will be done about the race/class thing as I'm not going with the alien crap... something much closer to original Whitewolf when it comes to the Vamps and Werewolves.

Still playing a buttler. Chris, will your character still be my employer?

Sure! (most likely)
Alan, you should check out the Awakened Humans - they are like human paradigms. I will have to see exactly what Josh cooks up, but I will likely still play a social-type or mage-type.

Re: so......
you might want to wait on characters until I have things posted and changes verified Alan. You guys won't be high level anymore since Matt is running the epic thing.

Looks like a 1st level character in wod is equivalent to 4th level in other d20 systems anyway...

Re: so......
Standing by for further info...still not quite certain what the setting is, so I'll hold until later. We got time!
It looks like there is lots of room for variance in the magic system, which is cool, I imagine you could have several mages and not be overlapping each other in utility.
And FYI - Demons are "aliens" in PF and DnD as well = "outsider" means extra-dimensional alien.
