"Hang on Skree, little buddy!"
Grappled: A grappled creature is restrained by a creature, trap, or effect. Grappled creatures cannot move and take a –4 penalty to
Dexterity. A grappled creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks, except those made to grapple or escape a grapple. In addition, grappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform. A grappled character who attempts to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability must make a
concentration check (DC 10 + grappler's
CMB + spell level), or lose the spell. Grappled creatures cannot make attacks of opportunity.
A grappled creature cannot use
Stealth to hide from the creature grappling it, even if a special ability, such as hide in plain sight, would normally allow it to do so. If a grappled creature becomes invisible, through a spell or other ability, it gains a +2 circumstance bonus on its
CMD to avoid being grappled, but receives no other benefit.
Zang moves the Flaming Sphere (round 3, it has 5 more rounds available) into P-13, the location of the xeno attacking Skree.
Concentration check? 13 + 8 + 6 = 27
REF save from Xeno to negate the flaming sphere, DC 18. If not, Fire damage: 6 + 5 + 4 = 15
Then Zang draws his scimitar and unleashes it's flame tongue ability on the xeno hitching a ride to his leg.
"Once per day, the sword can blast forth a fiery ray at any target within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. The ray deals 4d6 points of fire damage on a successful hit."
Touch Attacks: Some attacks completely disregard armor, including shields and natural armor—the aggressor need only touch a foe for such an attack to take full effect. In these cases, the attacker makes a touch attack roll (either ranged or melee). When you are the target of a touch attack, your AC doesn't include any armor bonus, shield bonus, or natural armor bonus. All other modifiers, such as your size modifier,
Dexterity modifier, and deflection bonus (if any) apply normally. Some creatures have the ability to make
incorporeal touch attacks. These attacks bypass solid objects, such as armor and shields, by passing through them.
Incorporeal touch attacks work similarly to normal touch attacks except that they also ignore cover bonuses.
Incorporeal touch attacks do not ignore armor bonuses granted by force effects, such as
mage armor and
bracers of armor.
Ranged Touch Attack: 15 + 10 (6 bab, 2 dex*, 2 magic) - 2 (grapple) = 23, and xeno doesn't get armor or natural armor bonus.
Fire Damage: 5 + 3 + 5 + 1 = 14
If the monster is still hanging on, 2nd melee attack with the scimitar. Attempting to slice off the tail that is grabbing.
2nd attack: 11 + 4 - 2 = 13
Doubt that's a hit, but if so: 2 + 3 = 5 slashing
*Sorry for posting all the rules, they're really more for my benefit. I'm still learning. Not sure if you penalize me an additional -2 for the -4 to Dex? Not sure. Wait to see how this all goes off, before Skree goes.
