    Quick questions, to clarify. The lasers are not in an "on" position - they must be triggered each round, correct?

    Would you mind notating disabled vs functional lasers?

    The azer nearest "Eagle-Sjon" is still hanging on the cliff face, correct?

    correct, they must be fired by an operator



    sorry, I did grey them out but that isn't much different lol!

    M-4 and O-7 are disabled and cannot be used at all

    Been unsure if these guys are "edible" - truth be told, but also have not had time/need to stop for a snack Wink

    Firetail is up and he is mad now.  He rages out loud, "Bothersome pests!  You think you can stop Charr??  He will burn this island and the goddess along with it.  He will swell in power like a raging wildfire"

    Firetail spends half of his 60 ft fly movement to stand up from prone (Sjon's wave).  He will then fly to A-10 and give Renda a taste of his own medicine Twisted Evil

    Firetail will make a SHOVE attack at Rena to try and knock him into the lava.  "See how you like the lava, bothersome gecko"

    contested Athletics vs Renda.  Firetail has 22 str for +6 but sadly no skill in Athletics

    the 3 remaining Azers all move and Dash towards levers.

    B-7 (near Sjon) uses 10ft to climb up the last 5ft of the ledge, then runs due south.  He provokes an AoO from SJon first as he leaves A-9.  He would then provoke an AoO from Renda if he makes to A-10 on his way to A-17 (if he makes it that far) near the lazer C-17

    the 2 on the right side of the map can both move 60ft, ending R-12 and next to Sam at R-16.  He entered Sam's threat zone but never moved out of it, so no AoO.  That Azer is next to a lever but no longer has an action.

    Josh, read pg 93 on Rangers and how to use a companion. It costs an action to command him to attack (remote control gizmo). You can tell him where to move for free. He will defend you for free.

    3-YOR cant reach the Azer anyways, though he could attack the FE.

    Disable device on the levers would be an action under Thieves Tool use, yes

    Sam disables the levers with masterful skill.  (it would take at least 1 action to fix it and as a contested skill check vs Sam's 29 total, so not likely)  well done!  cheers

    3-YOR shuffles his metal feet unenthusiastically, "default+command : status=defend.  I was not built for speed, master".  

    He moves and Dashes to get as close to Sam as possible.   3-YOR will use his Reaction to impose DIS on the LFE if it attacks Sam (this isn't a ready, just a note to remind myself and illustrate his basic programming).  3-YOR will not protect Hawkes, sorry Cap't.

    The great eagle takes wing after his quarry.  His flight path leads him to A-19 using 70' of movement and staying clear from threat of an Azer opportunity attack.  DMs judgement on whether or not the same goes for Firetail.  He uses his bonus action to revert to his human form and casts Ice knife at level 4 with the levers (B-17) being his target.

    Renda cranks on the lever sideways and bends it at a 90 degree angle, snapping the small gears at the base.  It is disabled and removed from the map.  Renda uses his extra attack and his first attack.

    Renda then rips into Firetail with 3 more gashes before skipping away to the center island.

    This is actually a very technical point of the rules. I had to look it up myself, lol. It does not and I will explain why:

    UD says it works against "any attack" from an attacker you can see

    Then read pg 194 which clarifies "what is an attack" and says that if there is any question, an attack is something that requires an "attack roll".

    So a melee, ranged and some spells count - those which include an attack roll. Opportunity attacks count.

    A fireball does not count as there is no attack roll. An exploding trap that doesnt make an attack roll doesnt count.
    However, this is where Evasion covers you.

    The Azer's aura is not an attack as there is no "attack roll" being made, it just hits you because you hit him in melee.

    Fireball and what not is covered by Evasion. They have to make it reasonable to hit a Rogue somehow. lol

    She launches missiles at the fire elemental invading her personal bubble.

    *Abi is using her magic longbow, but even if it was a normal bow, as an arcane archer she gains the ability to infuse mundane arrows with magic. A reminder to the DM, in such cases as overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage.

    Since the elemental is next to her, she wants to continue using her longbow, but prefers to avoid Disadvantage, at least on the first attack.


    #1) Attack Action: Magic Arrow, Arcane Shot - Seeking Arrow
    She can make an Arcane Shot 1/turn. She has 2 uses of Arcane Shot before requiring a long rest to recharge the ability.
    Seeking Arrow: Target makes a DEX save DC 12. Success for half damage.

    Damage formula: 1d8+6 piercing damage + 2d6 force damage.
    Result of the throw of dice "1d8" : 4 + 6 = 10 piercing.

    So I think Abi would step up to I-20 and use her second shot, no longer at DIS to shoot the LFE
