Just because I have to say something..... giving 2 revolvers a +1 each is kind of a waste. Rapid shot could be 2 shots with the same +2 gun = more bang for your buck.

Otherwise, looks very solid and deadly, glad to see some Healing skills in there.

I'll think about changing that Chris. In truth, it was that or make the rifle +1 instead of one of the pistols... it's a difference of only one that can be made up from abilities later on.

from the masters guide... we'll be using various d20 beasts and monsters too... Maybe I can list some steeds in the equipment section.

He does look solid. What is his background? Is he more of a hired gun or a gambler? A rambler?

Background... well, given the weird age thing in this game (and incidentally, I did the random die for training and it came up a 4... which means he'd be 19?) I'd like to make him a few years older... mid 20s probably.

He started in the Texas Cavalry at the tail end of the Civil War, though he was very young, he could already ride and shoot better than half the men in his unit. After the war was over (feel free veto/change any of this for your timeline) he fought Comanches with the Texas Rangers... then went on to riding escort for stagecoaches traveling west.

I might add some more later but that's a rough sketch for now. He only feels truly happy when in a saloon at a card table however

I like Thomas' background so far. Cavalry makes sense if he's a rider. Some stuff to think about...

The current time is autumn, 1885. The Civil War ended in 1775. Texas succeeded and became an independent republic (again) in 1773. You might want to adjust Thomas' age if you want him to have seen some action in the war.

If he had fought the Comanches, does he hate them still? Or is he reformed? Did he make any enemies from that time?

What is his reputation as a gunslinger and gambler? Why would he be in Arizona?

Yeah... kinda figured there'd be some adjustments.

We'll go with just learned his skills and fought against the Comanches. Since age seems a big deal in this, I don't want to go too much older right now.

He doesn't hate the Comanches. He actually respects their prowess in battle and well as horsemanship... which he's tried to copy as best he can.

As for Arizona... perfect place to be, when you're not exactly welcome back home right now.

Sorta pissed off the wrong cattle outfit connected to the wrong politicians. No warrants (that I know of) but for now, its guarding stage coaches when I'm not just making money gambling. Odd jobs and adventure for now.. though he has an intense interest in magic.

Reputation? Close-mouthed... hard to figure and even tempered, just don't try to outdraw him (I'd say that's a reasonable assumption given a 20 dexterity?) His reputation as a gambler is where his nick-name came from, they just always seem to be there when needed... an no, he's never been caught cheating... all accusations are pure hog wash.

He's got a soft-spot for animals and won't stand to see them abused in his presence. That's how he got Goliath... he saw his previous owner beginning to whip him and stopped the man.. whereupon this poor unfortunate soul just had to be relieved of his life when he tried to draw down on Thomas... bad idea. (that could even be why he had to leave where he's from in Texas)

An updated character sheet is now posted as well. Since I talked about it earlier, Chris, I'm probably going to also pick up some arcane powers through my GS abilities over the next few levels... eliminates having to multi-class.

Lots of great hooks! I like the "guarding stage coaches" and that he's somewhat unwelcome in Texas. The updated character looks good too. I'm gonna have to amp up my bad guys, hehe.
