It has taken Korvaq some time to get his bearings in Aasgard.  He has made 1 friend, a young wizard named Ran.  They met in a tavern one night and had deep, drunken, conversations about magic and science.  They ended up in a barfight and have been buddies ever since.



Ran allows Korvaq to live in the back room of shop.  They share a lab and often work late hours, unless they go drinking.  Korvaq is a bit of curiosity in Aasgard, which has helped Ran's business.  Ran has told Korvaq about the Bifrost, though Korvaq hasn't received permission to visit the bridge yet.

Early one morning, before Ran had even opened his shop.....  Korvaq is awoken by a firm knock on the main door.

grrr... "one should not waking a sleeping Klingon without a good reason!" He goes to the door

Korvaq opens the door, but there is nobody outside.

Korvaq feels, more than senses, a distortion in the space\time continuum.  It feels like Deja-Vu, like he walked to the door and opened it already and saw a man in green robes enter.  Korvaq looks quickly up and down the street, but sees no one.  

Korvaq rubs his cranial ridge and wonders if he had too much Vanirian Ale last night.  He heads back into the lab on his way to his quarters.  He is startled to see someone admiring his work, with a sly grin, "Impressive work."



"You're not from the 9 realms though.  So... how did you arrive in Aasgard?"

"By Kahless.... who, what?" "Who are you?" (angrily but composed) "I arrived in the 9 realms by methods I'm sure your not familiar with"

All gear is done. Character finished

Ran stumbles out of his room at the commotion.  Clearly shocked, he drops to a knee and babbles, "My Lord Loki... I wasn't.... this is Korvaq.... an unexpected honor.... can I....  may we....   How may I serve you?"

Loki keeps his gaze on Korvaq, as he gently touches Ran's shoulder for him to rise.  "Master engineer Korvaq, have you had the pleasure of seeing our.... (he pauses searching for the words) Inter-system mass-transporter?  The Bifrost, as we call it.  I would be honored if you would join me."   It doesn't sound like a request.

With a glance, the door of the shop opens.  Loki gestures for Ran to follow, "On the way, you can tell me of this Kahless.  I do enjoy a good story of heroes."  Korvaq notes the inflection and sneer on Loki's face as he said "heroes".

"ah, I had no idea we had an honored guest. I will gladly come with you to see this wonder."

GM will assume Korvaq has all his listed gear


Loki turns out to be an affable host.  He is genuinely interested in stories of Klingon lore and your homeworld.  He is happy to answer questions about Aasgard and the 9 realms.

It is a long, though enjoyable, walk towards the BiFrost.  Korvaq can see some kind of causeway that leads out of the city proper to a domed building.  The causeway sparkles like magic.





Korvaq can make a Know tech roll if he wants


As you walk over the causeway, Loki speaks again,  "Master Engineer, you mentioned our 9 realms.  Do you know of Yggdrasil?  The Tree of Worlds, as we call it."

I have never heard of this my lord but it sounds quite fascinating. Is it a weapon of some sort?

Loki describes the Tree of Worlds and the magical Bifrost, a rainbow bridge that connects them.  Loki describes it like this:

Korvaq pays polite attention, but is thinking about something else as he walks over the "magical bridge" to the domed Observatory ahead.

Korvaq recognizes the bridge is made of a crystalline composite material, similar to Dilithium crystal.  It acts as a conduit and feeds energy from some reactor in the city or perhaps off the primary power grid of Asgard itself.  Korvaq suspects that the "rainbow bridge" can act as both a Wormhole projector and a Tractor Beam.  It seems to be a more advanced version of the transporter device he accidentally created.  Korvaq wonders if that is why he ended up here, did he somehow open the Tractor Beam part of the Bifrost....

Korvaq's musing are cut short as they approach the entrance of the Observatory.  A giant man in golden armor blocks the doorway.  He is holding a massive sword, even by Klingon standards.



He speaks, though his gaze seems a thousand worlds away, "Loki, you are forbidden by Odin to enter. Who stands with Loki?"

"WHO SPEAKS?  I heard your foot falls and I can hear your voice, but I cannot see you.  What sorcery is this Loki?"  Heimdall appears to look right through Korvaq as his grip tightens on his sword.

The sly grin returns to Loki's face, " I can see him, mighty Heimdall.  He looks... much like a Jotun, if you ask me.  Mighty Heimdall, you can see across space and time.  You can hear sap dripping off a tree on another world.  Look!  He is here."  

Heimdall follows Loki's voice and seems to strain his eyes on the spot where Korvaq stands.  His eyes widen momentarily, as if he is seeing a ghost.  Then they glaze over like they are filled with a golden smoke or powder.  He staggers back, stunned.



Loki's grin becomes a broad smile, "Some guardian, eh?  Right this way, Master Engineer."  Loki strides into the Observatory as if he owned the place.

No, you could see both the whole time.  Loki literally just stood there.  Korvaq doesn't understand, but it seems like it happened as a result of looking at Korvaq.

Does Korvaq enter or do something else?

yes... Know. Local and History to see what, if anything, I know about Loki and this tree...and if it's even remotely something that Korvaq would be able to "convert" to his sort of tech (tell me what you want me to roll for that one).

Korvaq follows Loki into the Observatory.  Loki points to 2 worlds in Yggsdrasil, "Do you see Alfheim and Vanaheim?  There and there.  They are both surrounded by a cloud of Golden Dust that has never been there before."



Korvaq watches as the Golden Dust expands through space and envelopes Midguard.  As it does, the whole Tree begins to grow hazy.  For a moment Korvaq sees many parallel Trees, as if Yggsdrasil is actually just a branch on a much larger tree.  Other World Trees also appear as branches.  Korvaq sees one World Tree that looks like it has Earth instead of Midguard, Romulus instead of Nifelheim and Kron'os instead of Jotunheim.  

Korvaq doesn't have long to study it however, as the BiFrost opens spontaneously and unexpectedly!

In a flash of Rainbow colors, Korvaq and Loki are sucked into the BiFrost.  Loki gives Korvaq a look of genuine surprise, before flying off under his own power.  Korvaq is hurtling uncontrollably through what he suspects is a wormhole.  



Korvaq sees, for a brief moment, what looks like many giant syringes with long tubes attached headed for many of the Midguard worlds.  He can't get a good look at them before he slams hard into.......
