Backstory:
Tungo is a guide in the land of the Shielding. His last job ended with him in pursuit of a pack of marauding gnolls. The vile dog-folk had ambushed his party and slaughtered all his clients late one night high in the Spine Ridge Mountains. The merchants had promised to pay Tungo handsomely for his service as a guide along their trek. The route was treacherous, high in the mountains, where the stars are most easily seen to align.
In the thick of battle, Tungo was cornered by a five gnolls along a ravine. He was pushed over the side, managing to take 3 of the gnolls with him, as they tumbled into a stream of icy water.
He awoke hours later, nearly frozen on the river's edge. Wasting little precious time, Tungo hiked back to the camp, but all the others of his party laid slain, the bodies looted. Tungo managed to track the gnolls down to the valley...
