Sam makes it to S-7 without issue. Everything is as already described with one addition. From this closer vantage point Sam can also see some scrawling on the side of the sarcophagus, just under the lid. He is unable to read it. Have you got any more pointed questions or is Sam doing anything in particular?

The temple is indeed a Dwarf temple. It is the seat of religious power in the capital city and in this very room are statues of dwarves and a sarcophagus which one would assume houses a dwarf of some repute. It is a good bet that any written script in the temple is Dwarven.

Kruhl gently sets the Dwarf down on the floor. Hawkes watching on with intent.  The slumped figure begins to stir.  He lifts himself up to one knee before standing up.  He has a painted bald head, a long beard that turns into hanging braids on either side of his face, and dirtied robes of burgundies, reds, and gold.  He still seems dazed and again pays no attention to the group.

That was considered a free action, much like dropping a sack of short and stocky potatoes.  Kruhl still has a full turn if he wants to do anything else.  Same applies to Hawkes, as speaking is a normal part of his turn.  Both of you can take a full action if wanted.

Renda is up after Hawkes and Kruhl finish their turns if they wish.

Kruhl watches the Dwarf carefully as he steps forward, finding himself shoulder to shoulder with Renda and his never-ending hunger. Both Renda and Kruhl are ready for a fight, should one present itself.

Shame nobody seems to speak Dwarven, nor have any spell or item that would allow them to do so.

It is hard for Hawkes to see, but the glint of the smoldering braziers off the script appears to be very old, if not original.

Abi will move to I-7. She still holds her bow. Uses the central statue platform for cover and continues tracking Sam's progress. Hold attack action for any threats.

Dont get me wrong. Sam is entitled to a turn, but the way investigation works is that you declare a thing to investigate. A general awareness is passive perceptuon, an active awareness is active perception, and investigation is for inspecting something specific.

That said, you can take Sam's turn, or not. Your call.

Crispy is mildly irritated that he can’t see a damn thing in here, cursing his lack of dark vision for the umpteenth time. He will use his Elemental Attunement to make the two braziers burn bright enough to light the whole room.

Hawkes goes to S5 attempting to triangulate the Dwarf’s intended destination as he goes. “Watch him Sam.”

Crispy channels his connection to the elements, causing the braziers to flare alight. The room is bathed in this rejuvenated source of light, casting shadows from the columns that scatter the room. The increased visibility makes it clear that the script behind the sarcophagus is of artisan quality. Carefully carved and lined with gold inlay, the writing becomes a focal point.

Hawkes moves ahead of the Dwarf on a path to intercept, if necessary.

Kruhl uses his Divine Sense to survey the room. @Chris: check your private messages. You can still take your move, free action, or bonus action if applicable.
