Olivia will check with the servant to make sure the car is fully fueled up.

As they wait, she will drink a potion of cure light wounds. She also uses Healing Hex on herself.

    8 + 9 = 17 HP restored.
    Olivia's current HP: 74 / 76

    Anyone else need healing?

Elliot will spend the time reloading his emptied pistol clip from the spare ammunition in his knapsack.

Then he says a short prayer in thanks for the bullets and grenade that miraculously missed him..

Then he approaches RC3 and the colonel and quietly asks them

    "What about your prisoner?"

Yes, he's awake. Do you want to do the interrogation here or after the meeting with Fadlala? He might be interested in the fact that you have a prisoner.

Just remember one thing... torture is an evil act. Interrogation isn't necessarily, depending on how it's done.

something to remember for those that have any alignment constrictions.

I'll update tonight. You'll be in conversation with Fadlala

    You're welcome Alan.

On that note, you'll all have to forgive me for not updating tonight. I'm in an incendiary mood and I"m not thinking even remotely rationally at the moment.

I'll update things either later on or in the morning. You got through the first set of encounters with considerable skill. Congrats

Sorry for not updating... I don't like to do gaming stuff when I feel like this.

Fadlala strolls in and you can immediately tell that he is pleased...

"Ah, my friends, you have secured all of my merchandise! Allah be praised. You see Berkei (to one of his bodyguards) this is how you deal with the damned 40 thieves!"

I believe that our deal was for this piece of information (he hands you a slip of paper with an address on it, written in English). The man you want to see is Rashid Ibn Abbas. He is very old but a brilliant poet and keeper of rare items. He will help you, just mention that I sent you. One thing though... avoid loud noises or activities that might scare him as he is rather feeble and is easy to disturb."

He lives in the old quarter of the city. This address will get you there. You may tell Mr. Norris, when you see him, that I will forgive our recent disagreement and that he no longer needs to fear coming to Cairo (he says this rather smugly). I thank you once again for securing these carpets!"

    Any responses?

after JT ditches the truck and makes it back to the Blue Parrot, you are all re-united in one of the rear storerooms.

JT is only going to ditch the truck if he is followed by the police as a distraction for the get-away car.  If the cops don't chase him, JT will drive the truck to the Blue Parrot.... finders keepers

depending on the answer to the above.....

I agree. We might have the back of a big truck to speak with him privately

    Elliot nods his agreement quietly.

"Good thinking, best not to tip our hand too much or take sides just yet. But I must insist against torture..."

After shooting a couple guys dead (and leaving their bodies in the streets of Cairo),  Elliot's conscience is already weighing heavily on him. He makes a mental note to visit a Catholic priest and seek his absolution as soon as possible...

That should about cover it, I think.

Well depending on what he speaks, you may do the talking. I can role play things without speaking and still justify my skill checks if needed.

As notated in earlier posts, we are looking for someplace quiet and lonesome to park the truck, so we can conduct the conversation in the covered cargo portion.

Elliot will be pulling security/lookout duty outside.

JT and CJC will be "facilitating the discussion", with Olivia standing in the corner looking freaky.

    Elliot speaks up.

We could take him to the desert somewhere outside Cairo.. depending on what he has to say, we could always let him go there. We have Mr. Norris' car still, we could even give him back the truck, if he turns out to be.. less than an enemy to us. Just a thought."

We have stated several times what kind of location we are looking for, and we have also stated that we want to interrogate the captive tonight, and go see the contact tomorrow.

Outskirts of town would work, as would any seedy but semi-private alley, parking lot, warehouse, etc.

Not certain what else you want/need.

Matt, the last person to speak had suggested the desert which had not been agreed upon. There were several ideas thrown out, I just wanted a consensus.

And I never said that the truck had any kind of covering in the bed at all. It doesn't

I think we all under the impression that the back of the truck was covered. Not sure where that idea came from, but from the encounter map earlier, the picture of the truck does indeed have an open bed.

Olivia votes to take the captive out to the middle of the desert, preferably at night. We'll take both vehicles. Like in the movie Casino, we'll have the captive "dig his own grave" before we begin questioning. The headlights of the car can shine light for him to see the grim duty.

Then I suggest we go on as planned, with JT and Col. doing the questioning, Olivia standing in the headlights looking intimidating and Eliot and CRIII on lookout.

I looked back through all the posts and Rob is right. I think my own mental image probably came via Indy movies, given the similarities.

JT is fine with the above tactics as demoralization, but with the clear intent that we are not just killing this guy in cold blood. We might leave him out there or give him a ride back or whatever. JT is partial to keeping the truck, especially since Norris will probably want his wheels back.
