    at 11, anyone still standing on the ground needs to make a REFLEX save DC 20 or be knocked prone!  It feels like something slams UP from underneath the party.  The ground becomes displaced, as shown, which is now difficult terrain

    at 10, the Facehugger swarm attacks!

    Korvaq only has 3 on him, since he wisely burned many of them down during his turn.  I don't see a CMD for Korvaq, so Josh will have to check to see if he is GRAPPLED by any of them.  They are small sized, but vicious:

    3 CMB attacks vs Korvaq, results to check vs CMD = 20 (not natural), 13, 11
    if any of those hit, Korvaq is grappled by a facehugger

    Brick looks like a tasty host and has drawn more attention, with 5 facehuggers on him, thank you for CMD 35 vs grapple

    5 CMB rolls - 13,9,9,14,12 are all misses, but they are crawling all over and around Brick

    study note - your CMD will go down if you are prone from REFLEX above

    Skree has 4 facehuggers on him, but he had readied attacks, so he can make attacks when Rob gets a chance, then I can resolve the remaining grapples

    It looks like more eggs are opening!

    Brick Rockman will Attack any facehuggers that survived his AoO first and spend any attacks that remain on the ones he can reach that are attacking Korvaq.

    Zangulor's wary of channeling Praxia's divine energy. She has become corrupted and he wants no part of that. Instead he draws favor from the Cosmic Mother.

    Zang understands it is an equal balance of forces throughout the universe which are necessary for cosmic harmony. The xenomorphs upset that balance. They corrupt nature itself. They must be eradicated.

    "Nice boomstick!"


    Skree is hungry. MEAT. Wants some. Tastes good. He doubts the bug-things are palatable. But he will guard the arch, and kill the bugs. Perhaps then the master will be pleased and give him meats.

    Skree REFLEX save: 5 + 11 = 16.  Skree is knocked prone.

    1st) talon attack: 17 + 12 - 4 = 25; 6 + 3 + 4 = 13 piercing damage. If the first facehugger is hit and killed, he moves on to the next one.

    2nd) talon attack: 10 + 12 - 4 = 18; 3 + 1 + 4 = 8 piercing.

    Zang connects with the Cosmic Mother.  She is strong and healthy, unlike this world.

    Zang casts Diviniation and Conjuration at +2 levels here and +2 SAVES vs the same schools, all others at normal


    Brick plays Whack-a-bug with the approaching facehuggers!  He squishes 4 of the 5, fortunately, they don't have acid for blood.  1 remains near Brick, but he slips a step to the left.

    Skree gets knocked over from the minor earthquake, but still manages to gut 1 of the approaching facehuggers and wound another. 3 of them jump on Skree.

    2 miss outright, but 1 manages a GRAPPLE around Skree's neck with its tail (next it will immobilize, then impregnate)  

    study I will update the map in the morning at work

    I take it the facehuggers have grab, Improved grapple, or some other ability that prevented Skree from getting his OA?

    He tries to break the grapple: 20 + 10 = 30. Whoo!

    Is that a success? Zang's action depends on the outcome.

    correct.  Brick got AoO because he has 10ft reach. They are pretty pathetic really (10hp, +3 to attack, but their sole purpose in life is to grab something by the neck)

    at 14, the buzzing swarm of flying xeno-wasps arrives.  there are 2 groups of 4.  the first group splits into 2 wings of 2, 1 pair each attacking Argul and Zang in the air.

    at 11 the ground beneath Korvaq and Brick explodes with upward force!

    Brick, Korvaq, facehugger, downed Wasp, Skree + facehugger need to make a REFLEX save DC 20.  The upward force is now flinging you 5-20ft through the air.  Let's see if you land on your feet + grenade diagram for where you land

    Roll:  Reflex save DC20

    1d12  (for direction, like face of a clock)

    1d4 for distance each 1 = 5ft thrown

    possible falling damage if flung over 10 ft and failed save

    at 14 the Xeno-wasps go.

    Argul instinctively activates his people's ancestral spell-like ability to VANISH. Once he has disappeared from sight, he flies to I/13.

    As the invisibility imparted by VANISH grants Argul total concealment, they wasps cannot take AoO against him. As per SRD - "You can't execute an attack of opportunity against an opponent with total concealment, even if you know what square or squares the opponent occupies."




    As he travels, Argul communicates a quick warning to his fellow flying compatriot -
    "Mr Zang, please do make your way to the outside of that scrum with some haste, sir!"

    They were at X-6 and W-9 where there are now Facehuggers.  If you look at the aerial map, you can see where the eggs were located, as I forgot to update that map above.  It is fixed below

    As a swift action he gains the vital strike feat.

    Since Brick moved first, he gets attacked by 3 Facehuggers as he passes vertically through their threat zones. Even Prone, with no Dex and nice bonuses.... all 3 fail their grapple checks, poor little buggers

    Skree punishes the offending facehuggers with his talons.
    1st) 15 + 12 = 27; 3 + 2 + 4 = 9 piercing damage.
    2nd) 14 + 12 = 26; 4 + 3 + 4 = 11 piercing damage.
    *As before, he will concentrate attacks on one enemy until dead, then move on to the next.

    Zang zaps the flying bug grappling him with a lightning bolt. Electricity damage: 10 + 4 + 7 + 10 + 5 = 36 electricity damage.  Reflex Save vs DC 21 for 1/2 damage.

    *Is he still grappled? Zang has a move action remaining. He may still use a Hero point.

    Skree finishes off both remaining Facehuggers on him!  Does he eat them?  I imagine they would taste like cicadas or scorpions - crunchy and full of protein

    Zang bug-zaps the one grappling him.  These wasps don't seem as tough as the human-xenos you fought on the bridge (but they do fly, so there's that).  It's burnt husk drops to the ground.  Zang is free of the grapple, but still has a couple wasps threatening him in melee

    The Xeno-wasps are up, but Zang still had a move action that he held waiting to see if his spell killed the one grappling him, which it did.  So after Zang finishes, I will update the flying bugs

    Zang stays where he is. I was unsure the lightning was affecting the flying bugs, but they do sizzle nicely.
