Korvaq and Argul consider some possibilities: Does time flow differently in different planes? Is time constant or relative? Does the original time of the portal creators affect the end time? Why in the hell didn't Cap and the others say anything about this?!?!

Debate about time is set aside to consider that last and most important question. Ion and the party jumped contemporaneously to Salyut. They told you they watched the fountain in the park - the Nexus. None of this suggested anything unusual about time. So what happened?

Korvaq considers the unique description of Salyut Station....

With the shape of the well and space station and the lack of anything surrounding us, I'm getting "black hole" imagery. Which fits with an annihilated state of things, but beyond that, I'm having no luck piecing things together. Rasso's poetry isn't landing me anywhere solid. Which makes sense because he is freaking crazy!

Rasso changed something + Blackhole = 3200 xp (1/4 to 10th)

The party is starting to piece things together (previous rolls + player guesses).....

Salyut Station was in an area of space devoid of stars or planets. There is a nearby micro black hole (which can come in any size or mass) which had already pulled everything it could into its event horizon and\or mangled it into quarks in the singularity. Space-time functions normally until you cross the event horizon and start to be affected by the gravity of the singularity.

Salyut Station was located safely outside of the event horizon.... until Rasso opened his "madness portal" which looks strikingly like a mico black hole. The party is uncertain how Rasso did it, but somehow Salyut Station crossed the event horizon ever so slightly. Because of the intense gravity of the singularity, time flows differently within the event horizon than it does outside. Relativity is a bitch! Twisted Evil

While it seemed like only minutes passed on Salyut Station, years passed by in normal space outside the event horizon. Luckily the party left as quickly as they did or centuries might have slipped away into the ether.

Rasso knew the party was on to him. He needed time to enact his plan, so he stalled the party. Unfortunately, it also looks like the Xenomorphs gained ground as well.

Returning to Salyut Station is probably unwise. What would the party like to do now?

The hazy image (spatial distortion\psychic presence) grows clearer. The party can see what looks like a second silhouette next to the first as the connection improves.

Zang is fairly certain it is her. Remember, she has taken different forms in different worlds - the sick old lady in the modern world and the Cosmic Mother in outer space. Zang has always heard her voice and seen her avatar. He can only hear her voice now, but it seems like the longer you are in contact, the clearer the image becomes. It is not unreasonable, given the state of the world, that she might have been dormant. But it is a bit odd....

Zang can attempt a d20 + lvl + prime check (since there really isn't any Detect Goddess check Wink

)

Each creature included in the link is linked to all the others. The creatures can communicate telepathically through the bond regardless of language. No special power or influence is established as a result of the bond. Once the bond is formed, it works over any distance (although not from one plane to another).

If desired, you may leave yourself out of the telepathic bond forged. This decision must be made at the time of casting.

Telepathic bond can be made permanent with a permanency spell, though it only bonds two creatures per casting of permanency.

A few, but they are spells vs this SLA, and I am trying to keep on the down-low for the moment. I didn't go too far down the rabbit hole with mind-reading/psychic stuff because the campaign seemed to be leaning away from the subtle and towards the openly confrontational. If things had gone down the path I originally thought we were going (more of a "Vampire: The Masqerade" plotting and scheming feel) I would have delved much deeper into the true "psychic" capabilities of the class.

I think I said I would entertain some short solo parts that would be non-combat in nature, but it hasn't played out that way yet (not sure if it will at this point). This story has taken on a life of its own, unlike what I was originally expecting.

Anyways...

Argul can tell that this Xeno-Praxia is like a psychic server. She is in communication with the party but also with many other entities. Argul didn't notice them at first because they were dormant. However, they seem to be stirring now....

It's all good - wasn't a complaint, simply an observation. This class has a broad set of choices. I've built it more general, but one option would have been to go very "cerebral" with little direct combat applications and lots of mind reading, dream manipulation, etc.

Pending resolution of other player actions, Argul pays close attention to the feel of the communications, tapping his long experience as a negotiator and information broker.

The source of the voice is in your minds. Argul established a psychic bond, beforehand only Zang could hear her talking. The hazy distortion would be the only target-able thing, but Zang senses it is more of a projection than a physical presence.

What is the source of Zang's divine energy? Does he ask Xeno-Praxia for the favor? Or does he want to try and contact the Cosmic Mother he met on the space station?

At initiative 14, the party can hear a loud buzzing sound coming from the conical monoliths that Zang saw earlier. A swarm of something can be seen flying out of the hives and towards the party at high speeds. The party estimates they will arrive next round.
