Sounds like you either have to HAVE a healers kit to do it, or you have to burn twice the resources to get the bonus if you use one.  Lumenor's faith is strong.  His lack of resources is an opportunity for God to be glorified in the miracle.  Lumenor desperately applies field dressings made from torn clothing and available foliage. As if by destiny, a lone wild aloe plant has long grown and now been crushed under Chef's deceptively stout form.  Chef is at 1 HP.  For a second, Lumenor looks to him like an angel.

"St. Bubba of Spicegarde, is it really you?" Chef mumbles in a wounded haze. He reaches up to Lumenor, his savior. The wild-eyed one's form is mysteriously silhouetted by the sun. A resounding high-pitched drone in Chef's ears is the wounded cook's only reply.

Alan, I'd like to play again if that's ok. Just let me know. Not the same guy though. Human fighter with a big-ass hammer (town blacksmith)

Its fine, Josh. The fort requisitioned a new blacksmith when Lumenor flipped his anvil.  You've just arrived in the midst of the insanity.

Emilian loses sight of the catapult in the flash of smoke and fire.. so he will circle back around the other way, pulling out the mysterious crystal gadget as he goes..

Move 25 ft to P-15/16, right in front of the standing goblin in O-15/16.

Emil points the strange glowy contraption at the critter in front of him (he THINKS he has the proper end pointed, anyway) and makes up some magic words on the fly..

"Klaatu Verata... Necktie! Nickel!"

I thought the one was down since the one goblin is laying sideways. Sorry, let's adjust my move so Emilian attacks the first active mech he comes to. I don't wanna take him through any extra threat zones. He should have plenty of Movement to get there. Emil is easy to get along with, just plop him anywhere appropriate. Sound ok?

The mech in front of Emil begins to expand to monsterous proprtions.  Emil looks around in a panic and realizes his surroundings are also expanding! A queasy uncertainty washes over him as it sinks in.  Emil is 2 sizes smaller (tiny).  
His equipment and the device in his hands shrink with him.

Korvin has been in the road all day.  The small trade caravan with which he is tagging along has eagerly welcomed his hulking armed pressence.  The road winds up along the gorge and into town.  But something is wrong.  The streets are barren.  Suddenly the unmistakable sounds of battle.  Then, an explosion and a plume of rich oily smoke from the other side of town.  Korvin rushes toward the fray entering the map at bottom left.  Roll initiative and join in during the next round.

Korwin is visibly disturbed by these occurrences... he will move will all haste to the battle. Singing very loudly... something about "if I had a hammer...."

We certainly could use more healing/spell casting in the party. So it's a good thing Josh made another straight fighter. Though I love that he looks like Nigel! Nevermind, if Chef dies I'll make a Cleric or Druid or something.

Of which, Chef isn't eager to die. He's no coward but the goblin forces seem to be routed. If he engages the mecha in melee, Chef might get in a hit in or two, but will likely go down again quickly.

Chef moves up behind Kayatuq and throws a meat cleaver at the closest mecha pilot.
Attack: 18 + 4 = 22
if hits: 4 + 2 = 6 damage

Tuq can cast about as well as a Druid, he just hasn't yet.... now that you mention it, a good Entangle spell might have been more helpful than charging in full bore.... nah

Tuq can cast Cure Light Wounds, Entangle and Summon Nature's Ally spontaneously 2 times per day, plus Orisons

I wouldn't worry too much about party composition, we had 1 fighter, 1 rogue and 2 partial casters. Another melee tank is always welcome in Tuq's book

Cure light wounds is helpful.

Chef's knife just threads the needle, driving into the pilot's collar bone. Wounded, but not down, he glares at Chef with dirty-purple semi-vacant eyes.

The squire's flail filngs up as he draws and rears his steed! The flail comes down hard on the mech's rear upper cables and weights.  The chain tangles into the works, twisting and ceizing the mech's hulking grotesque form.  The horse's hooves hammer down on its side, knocking it flat.

The cavaliers follow suit, but with less skill. Three of the pikemen at the gate, hawing dropped their pikes, draw short swords and harry the goblins not in mechs.

The remaining pikeman is helping the other 2 extinguish flames.

The othr pikemen IN the fort form up at the gate... just in case.

Tuq is up.

Tuq and Ila will practice their disengage maneuver again

The foot-goblins scatter at top speed.

The wounded pilot begins to retreat to the northwest.  The 5 mechs from earlier have arrived and are hacking a hole in the west wall.

The other mech on tuq, follows and attacks Ila.  Blade misses, claw hits.  Ride check for tuq.  The mech still standing amidst the cavaliers takes a swipe at one of their horses, but only grazes it.  A blast from his flamer, however, sends the other horse on a dead-run, leaving its helpless rider rolling in the dust.

Top of the round after tuq's ride check.  Lumenor will be up.

I don't play Clerics Rob, never have, never will. Just don't like 'em. I've played a bunch of pally's so far in various games. Just wanted to play this dude

Lets not argue over character choices.  I would not make a campaign that "requires" a class no-one wants to play... Unless I say that you ALL  have to play one!

No argument here. Chef is happy to fight alongside the blacksmith, or anyone who will stand and fight against these goblin reavers.

Thanks to Chris for doing the map work and keeping it updated. I had to use the legend earlier, so it was helpful to list that too.

Emil's shock at his size change quickly fades as he realizes how much easier sneaking and stealing (not to mention getting drunk) will be and he chuckles with glee..

He drops the cursed crystal device that shrank him and draws his bow, quickly nocking an arrow and firing at the mech driver directly in front of him.

Attack roll: 1d20+4 (18+4)=22

If that hits, damage: 1d3+4 (2+4)=6

Emil's bonuses were adjusted for attack/damage this round to reflect his tiny size.

He'll hold his position where he is.

He feels confident in his ability to dodge the huge ponderous machine..

Emilian is done.

Lol it's kinda cool. Melee will be a lot different now but all the things I wanted him to be good at will be easier. I do hope it wears off, but if not... screw it. That's what you get for playing with strange wands!

As a Tiny creature, Emil can more easily "share" a space with another creature.

If it's a hit, 7 + 3 = 10 damage

Emil should get a -2 damage in spite of his +2 to hit.

The pilot winces as the tiny arrow finds a chink in his armor, like a needler.

Chef's blade glances off of the pilot's helm.

I thought the damage reduction was based on his damage die going from a d6 to a d3 per the weapons damage table in the core rules.

His CMB should go down, CMD up, AC up, attack bonus up,and strength based attacks obviously go down..

And since a bow does Dex based damage, thought that was it.

Did I read it wrong? Wanna clarify, DM or someone?

I am not sure what you mean here, a bow does not do any extra damage based on DEX. Only Composite bows do extra damage based on STR, which would go down, but they are very expensive for lvl 1 characters, since the cost depends on how much of your str gets added to the damage.

only Feats, like Point Blank Shot or Wpn Spec. would otherwise add damage to a bow (or some rare abilities that might add INT or something)

If Tuq got shrunk down, he could ride a Hummingbird
